Well……
Considering that a bomb was dropped on our Marina I think it was a pretty great summer. Hats off to Jimmy and Wendy for getting everything operational (especially the restrooms….lol)and somehow launching all those boats in time for the boating season. Bravo !!! Hope things go smoothly with the rebuild. I think it speaks to the type of Marina and people we have that I rarely heard anyone complain about the situation. We all just came and had a good time and rejoiced in the fact that no one was hurt.
I kind of missed my morning coffee and pastry at the bakery and really missed the Marina party but I am sure we will have a hell of a blowout when everything is up and running 100%.
I guess that some of my favorite summer memories (other then the day Wendy gave me free ice)were the time I just happened by chance to meet up with others from the dock while we were out there and just ended up rafting up and making a day of it. GOOD TIMES !
I won’t mention any of the nights at the dock just in case any kids are reading this…lol.
I have to state that I truely believe that it is the people at our marina that make it such a wonderful place. I can’t speak for the other docks, but ours, MacArthur, has such a great cast of characters that there is never a dull moment.
Some have become good friends (you know who you are ;-).
Also….
I heard from Tom and Ellie that they heard from Julie that she was talking to Rick that heard from someone that Jimmy and Wendy were planning on putting in a pool and a wet bar. Now granted, by the time stuff trickles down to me it is usually all twisted around but I am really keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
